This is a sleek and efficient easel for the serious painter or pastelist. It features a geared, self-locking drive winch that is connected to the bottom canvas holder by a strong steel cable, for quiet and effortless raising and lowering of canvases up to 80" (203 cm) wide, 80" (203 cm) high, and 100 lbs (45 kg) in weight.

The canvas holders lock canvases securely in place during raising and lowering, with rubber bumpers that reduce slippage and allow for painting to the edge of the canvas. Forward and back tilt are easily adjusted from the front of the easel. Also included are four locking casters to assure stability and ease of movement.

The easel is made from American white ash wood with a traditional Cherry stain and a sprayed lacquer finish. It measures 29"W × 30"D (74 cm × 76 cm) and is adjustable from 65"–104" (165 cm–264 cm) high.

Assembly of the base, back supports, and easel body requires 2–3 people to complete. Weighs 68 lbs (31 kg).

the problem with it is the bracket that holds the canvas comes undone in the back and will not hold your canvas anymore had it10 days and its broke allready it came damaged first time it did not have all the parts blick was great and replaced it the first time but at this point just want money back

I am very happy with the quality and the features of the easel. It's sturdy and easy to change the heights. Unfortunately there were scratches on the wood upon delivery due to the box being damaged in shipping. Other than that it is a beautiful easel!

I've had this a week now and love it. It's very sturdy and once I oiled the winch, super quiet to move up and down. The only thing that I wasn't expecting is that the maximum height of the lower board isn't as high as I'd hoped. For instance, for a small panel to be high enough to stand and paint, I have to use an additional board to rest the panel on. But given the difference in price between this and the Best easel, that's a simple fix. This one is SO stable for large canvases and small panels. I'm very glad I bought it.

To begin with I own two H-Frame Easels in the $150 - 100 and I really liked them. However as I started painting bigger paintings (36 x 80 and 40 x 60) I realized the need for a more professional and better grade easel that can support my ambitious paintings. I bought the DickBlick Master Series H-Frame and from the moment I took it out to setup I fell in love with it and it was the best I've ever had! However the Crankshaft in the back suddenly gave way and the moving H-Frame in the center of the main frame slid down and knocked out the bottom wooden plank the held the hinges to the easel. The wire loop at the bottom came undone. So watch out when you buy it and hopefully this is only a one in a thousand thing. The easel is nice with high quality!
