Greatest easel for around $100 bucks!
from Portland, Oregon
Comments about Blick Studio Medium-Duty H-Frame Easel:
This is a very sturdy easel that allows me to securely hold oversized canvases. It's solid wood with no particle board etc., is easy to adjust, and has totally simplified my handling of large paintings. One challenge, the instructions aren't great because it's just pictures, but I was able to put it together ok anyway. The hardware is strong and well marked in separate bags, and It even comes with two full-size screwdrivers to use for assembly. However, there are three small, flat brass panels included that are not described/shown in the instructions. At the very end I realized they are used as insets for the top clamp (1) and bottom tray (2), to allow you to tighten and loosen the adjustment knobs for tightening and loosening them when you raise and lower the canvas. They are there to prevent the screw in the knob that tightens/secures the tray and top clamp, from screwing into the wood on the mast when the knobs are tightened. Hope that helps someone, hahaha< :}
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Medium duty, excellent product, excellent price

A medium duty easel of excellent quality at an excellent price. I will be painting canvases in the range of 24 x 30 in.; this will be easily managed by this easel. Directions are difficult; take your time; examine every aspect of each part, look ahead continually to see how the parts fit together.

I would buy this again
from naples fl
I paint on large canvases and my tri pod kept tipping over this is very stable
I was super excited about this easel, and I finally broke down and picked it up. The staff were EXTREMELY pleasant and helpful in processing my order, complete with a coupon and they shipped me a catalog. The easel came in good order and was pretty simple to put together. It's absolutely beautiful. My only complaint is that the top canvas holder doesn't drop down - which is CLEARLY stated on the description, and I missed it. Not a big deal - I can rig something up - this one is totally on me. This is a fantastic and solid easel for working on larger panels and canvases - and is a steal at the price. The company was also an absolute joy to work with and I look forward to ordering a second easel that fits my needs better.

This easel arrived secure and without any damage. I was able to assemble most of it myself and did follow the recommendations to have a second person assist for the final steps.It is sturdy and will accept a wide array of canvas sizes.
Very Solid and sturdy. Assembly instructions are hard to both read and follow though.

Huge heavy beautiful easel

I love my new easel. It's more then I expected. It is a Birthday gift from a special friend. It was easy to put together. The construction is extremely sturdy. The price was on point. I can not work on canvas that are taller then myself. Blick you Rock.

Great easel & attractive enough for display if needed. A little challenging for me to figure out a part of the assembly due to drawing & minimalist instructions but I figured it out. May not be any challenge for a technical person.

I actually feel quilty that I bought this product for such a low price because I think it is worth far more. I am a woodworker and considered building my own easel but now I am delighted I did not. All the wood is beautifully milled and fits together with precision. I couldn't have bought the wood and hardward for the price I paid. The assembly was pretty easy even with one person. I do think casters would be a nice addition because the easel is somewhat heavy to move around but I can still do that. Anyway, thanks for a great product!
