This sharpener worked good on my first pencil but after that it continued to break my pencils and get jammed. If your looking for a good sharpener your better off paying a little extra for the brass bullet pencil sharpener.

This is excellent for sharp thicker sized pencils. No point breakage, smooth cuts. Also got the Alvin gold bullet sharper too. Wonderful!

I really like this sharpener, and it's not ridiculously priced. I sharpen my pencils right over the trash can, and I don't have to worry that I may have too much waste that could mess with the results. Perfect!
