I see a lot of people saying this sharpener is a piece of junk because their Prismacolor pencils are always breaking in it...but I've found that to be true no matter what sharpener I use on my Prismacolor pencils. They are bound to break off several times because they have very soft lead, that's the only reason why. There isn't any other sharpener I've found that's going to do better or worse at sharpening this brand of colored pencil.

For pencils with stronger lead, this sharpener works great. It's a decent price I guess, but a good sharpener nonetheless.

I can't believe people are giving this 5 stars?! Do they even draw? This is fine for graphite but I bought it for colored pencils and it breaks them every time. I literally "threw" this in the trash. If you are an artist that draws a lot skip this piece of junk!

absolutely excellent sharpener the color pencil sharpener is great it sharpens them without a lot of lead breakage which normal sharpeners do, the graphite sharpener does equally as good thanks for such an excellent product. I'd recommend it to anyone that uses colored pencils.

I bought this for general pencil sharpening and sharpening my all graphite pencils. It works great for both. I like that there are two sharpening options and I prefer to sharpen with the stubbier blade. I don't have the problems the other reviewers have and am happy with my purchase. I wouldn't mind buying a second one so I can keep one at home and one at work.

Do not use this with your prismacolor colored pencils, it broke the tip off every time! They make another one that is much better. I gave this one to my 7 year old son for his lead pencils.

This sharpener not only eats my pencils, which is a complete waste, but very flimsy. Everytime I sharpen a pencil I have to hold the top of the sharpener or it will come off. Ready to torn it away and look for a replacement.
