One sharpener, two uses! The Prismacolor Pencil Sharpener features two blades for narrow and wide point sharpening. This sharpener works great with Prismacolor colored pencils, graphite, and Prismacolor Verithin pencils. Made in Germany, the blades sharpen pencils to a precise point.
A sliding cover keeps shavings from spilling and a transparent housing lets you see when the shavings receptacle needs to be emptied. The sharpener’s small design also makes it great for tucking into a bag or backpack.

Prismacolor Pencil sharpener
from Lenexa, KS
This sharpener is bacically a "Kum" with a plastic enclosure. The cylinder traps the shavings and is a much neater solution to the open type. It does a good job of pointing your color pencils as well as standard graphite. I would suggest you sharpen regular graphite ever few sharpens in order to clean the blades of color residue. The only "con" (so far) is--its tricky to open to empty the shaving contents.

This doesn't seem to work any better than a generic sharpener-my pencils keep breaking when I use it. I was hoping to avoid the blisters I get from the tiny metal sharpener that came with my prismacolor pencils but I guess I'll just have to tough it out.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Love This Sharpener
Perfect because it is small yet substantial and easy to use. Excellent quality compared to others I have purchased.
Great for prismacolor
This sharpener is inexpensive; this sharpener is specific. It sharpens prismacolor colored pencils better than any other sharpener used in the past. It doesn't do much for graphite though. But I guess the purpose is very specific as stated above. This is the sharpener for you if you constantly use prismacolors.

I LOVE this pencil sharpener!! I especially appreciate the choice of two point styles. Also high on my list of great features is its design-I happen to have nerve damage in my hands and this sharpener is large enough and shaped correctly to grasp securely without being so large as to make it clumsy. The lid is easy-open and the shavings are securely contained. The container is translucent so you can see how full of shavings it is without opening it. I would highly recommend this sharpener for anyone who works with colored pencils.
Best Manual Sharpener That I have found
from Atlanta, Ga
I have found this Sharpener works best! Electric sharpeners eat your pencils up. And if you use a quality, expensive brand of color pencils, this is what you want to use. It accommodates both the standard size and the smaller size of verithin pencils.

Best sharpener for Prismacolors!
from Beachwood, NJ
With the first use of this sharpener, I knew it was exactly what I needed to get a perfect pencil point every time. I do a lot of sketching and coloring using Prismacolor pencils and with other sharpeners, the points wouldn't get sharp enough and would break easily. They would also sharpen crooked and splinter the wood. The Prismacolor sharpener has holes the exact size of Prismacolor pencils, so they don't wobble while sharpening and the blade provides a clean, smooth, perfect point.
Best Sharpener ever!
from Pasco, WA
This sharpener is fantastic! The two holes allow for a shorter or longer point. It delivers a clean crisp point every time. Sharpens colored pencils as well as graphite. The cap keeps shavings from falling out during transport, but the lid does pop off occasionally, so I am storing it in a Baggie for longer treks.

Gives me the right sharpness for my card work. I have tried others but could not get the results I need for the detailed work. Fast shipping and definitely high quality product.
