the precision cut strips used to be the best in every category.the last few batches i've ordered have been off. i had to resort to using the corner keys in order to support the gaps when the miter cuts are off, which i had NEVER done before. this is especially true of the small lengths.

I have never before put together any type of frame for canvas wrapping, so this purchase was a leap of faith. The pieces are great quality and SUPER easy to put together -- PERFECT FIT EVERY TIME. I then can staple on my canvases and viola! Perfection! Definitely recommend and will buy these again in a variety of sizes.

I use these strips to stretch watercolor paper from the smallest 8" X 8" to 16" X 20" and for this use, they are wonderful. Very good value and quality. I like that you can purchase individual strips and not have to buy a lot of one size.

These stretcher bars are OK for really small works, like 10X10 or maybe even up to 12X12 for use with stretching canvas onto them for painting. I would not go any bigger if you do your own stretching, or unless you like loose canvas to paint on. These are too weak for larger and will bend. But, for small works, they work fine. Rather a joke, though, they make these up to 60 inches long??? Well, maybe if you put in lots of cross supports. I still think they will bend at that size even with supports.

I could not find the exact length I was looking for anywhere else, unless I bought ten of them, so you have a good selection of merchandise.. I knew what I was buying when I ordered the product. I knew it wasn't the highest quality, nor was it the lowest. It fell in the middle, which was fine.

I did, however, pay just as much for shipping as the product. Bummer!

I bought some longer sizes and was worried they might be torked or warped as I've had problems with from other vendors. These were good, sturdy, solid wood and perfectly straight.

I highly recommend.

The ease of putting together with stretcher strips is important to me, maybe the most important thing I encounter. Did try another brand recently, just so I'd cover my bases, and will never do that again. Hard getting together and squaring each corner. Love there, will continue coming back to Blick Strips.

Use for computer created art printed with HP1050c on 36" canvas rolls. Best value I've seen and Blicks is easy to do business with. I have done several hundred frames 24 x 30 and larger - all satisfactory. Six + or - warped bars in well over 500 bars. I ordered 200 bars from another company to see what their bars were like on line and had over 50% completely unusable stock and what was usable need to have cross bracing to take the stretch load. "I like them tight!" Well done Blicks.
