The Blick Contour Floater Frame is a beautiful contemporary frame made in the USA from American hardwood.
So named because the illusion it creates is that your artwork is "floating" within the frame instead of being covered by it, this frame is perfect for displaying a gallery wrap canvas where no staples are visible. The canvas easily attaches to the stretcher bars from the back side with screws.
The Blick Contour Floater Frame is available in three finishes, in a variety of sizes that accommodate 3/4", 7/8", or 1-1/2" deep canvases.
Color Matching — We do our best to match the color of frames, both on our website photography and in our catalogs, but differences in technology may affect the appearance of the photo on your screen. You are entitled to return, for refund or credit, any frame that does not meet your expectations.
Frame Depth — The depth of a frame refers to the depth of the frame's rabbet (the cut-out area behind the frame's molding that holds your artwork in place). To find a frame that will accommodate your artwork, measure the depth of the artwork, including any matting or mounting materials, and order a frame with a depth that is, at a minimum, the same as that measured depth.
Open Back Frames — These frames are meant to be hung on the wall and are sold as just the frame face. They are not shipped with backing material, glazing material, or hanging hardware. The open back frames are commonly used for traditional profile stretched canvases.

Comments about Blick Contour Floater Frames:
I very much like this style of frames as they do not take away half an inch of the canvas borders. Will not use any other style of frames.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

A nice frame

It's an attractive floater frame. The Blick linen stretched canvas can be a challenge to insert if "keys" have been used to tighten it.

I am very satisfied with these frames. They work well with my paintings to finish my work and show it off.
Best way to show off your masterpiece

Typically I am not a painter. Here in Arizona when the weather is HOT I have to find something to do indoors. I am on my third "landscape" painting and found the Blick contour floater frames in white were the perfect way to enhance my art. Well made, perfectly painted the frames are not only a good value but a professional way to make the art pop. Kudos to Blick for giving me a leg-up on my inspirations.

great price...but a glitch
from knoxville, tn.
This frame is nicely made and I have purchased this brand more than once. ( I wish there were more sizes) Over all it's a good value and a very nice frame. It doesn't come with any screws or attachment devices so you need to purchase medium length screws to attach it. The thing that is a bit of a problem is that I use Blick wood panels and sometimes the size of the attachment area and the panel do not match up. Too much wiggle room..... Just be aware. I haven't had to send one back yet but it's been really close.

I HATE framing and I am a terrible procrastinator. I almost always wait until two weeks before work needs to be dropped off at a gallery for a show to think about framing. These frames pull me out of the fire every time. I LOVE that you can pop your canvas in and four screws later you have a very professional looking framing job. I also like how floating frames show off the sides of the canvas and add that as design element which is normally covered in traditional framing. These frames are user friendly, professional looking and I will continue to buy them and recommend them to my friends.
I love these easy to use floater frames for my paintings. I HATE framing and I am a terrible procrastinator. I almost always wait until I have been accepted into a show and scramble to get my work ready to hang at the last minute. These frames pull me out of the fire every time, you just pop the canvas in and four screws later they look super professional and are ready to hang. I LOVE that you can see the edge of the canvas which I think adds an element of design. I have always hated that the edge is covered up in a traditional frame. These are chic, modern and most importantly for a busy working and teaching artist EASY.
Great way to display work

This is the first time I've tried the contoured frames and I am very pleased. Very professional looking and solidly built.
