Amaco No. 29 Brown Stone Earthenware Clay

Amaco No. 29 is formulated from several clays for plasticity and texture. This light brown earthenware clay contains tiny specs that give it the look of gas-fired and reduced stoneware. It contains a fine grit that makes it stronger and easier to throw larger pieces.

This clay is excellent for all types of hand building, slab work, extrusions, sculpture, and wheel throwing. It can be fired at cone 04 to 5 (1911° - 2205°F). Any Amaco low-fire glaze works well on this body. Because of its wide firing range, Amaco high-fire glazes also achieve good results. This clay is talc free.

The 50 lb carton contains two 25 lb blocks of moist clay.

Note — Amaco clay is AP non-toxic when moist; in dry form, product carries a health warning.

Note — Any combination of clay, plaster, and molding material totaling 50 lbs or more does not qualify for our free shipping offer.
