Basic Screen Printing with Luke Powers

This demo/workshop will cover the basic screen printing process (serigraphy). We will focus on a photo emulsion method you can use to produce single color t-shirt/textile prints at home.

This is an informational workshop and demo for beginners designed to get you the information you need to start printing at home. The focus will be on process. Workshop will be held every Sunday.

Introduction to Bookbinding

Learn Coptic binding and a cover embossing technique. This is a two hour follow along demonstration offered the first Wednesday of every month from 6p-8p. Students will leave with a 5”x7” hand bound journal. All supplies and tools are provided. Limited decorative paper selection will be provided. Stamp Making and Lino Cut Print Making 101

Location: In-Store

This 2 hour workshop will teach you everything you need to know to get started making your own stamps and linoleum prints! You'll learn three different surfaces, starting with foam and moving on to soft and hard mounted linoleums, and you'll be able to try your prints on a variety of different paper surfaces. The three stamps you make you get to take home, all in class supplies are included, just bring your design ideas. Class size is limited so sign up today, 18 and up please due to the tools.

Kids' Art Class

Students will learn a variety of painting and drawing techniques, as well as important art vocabulary. During each class session students will complete a different work of art. Subject matter will range from landscape to figure to abstract works of art. No experience is necessary. An art shirt is recommended!

Driven to Abstraction III

More play with acrylics and abstract painting techniques!

Join us for this 4 week session and explore figurative and non-figurative abstraction, paint with a variety of tools, create fantastic effects with collage. Work on different substrates and learn to layer acrylic image transfers into your paintings.

A basic knowledge of acrylics is helpful, and bring along a playful attitude!

We’ll learn about a variety of methods & materials to cover those blank pages & inspire your creative side. Explore exercises to break your creative block, experiment with color, texture, word play & more. Turn your sketchbook into part art material manual, part art play, all fun! Ages 14+.

Drawing Explorations I with Amy Flowers

Continue to explore all the possibilties a simple line can have with this four week session. We'll go in depth with drawing, focusing on perspective, basic color theory, creating depth and texture, and more techiques with a variety of drawing mediums.

With a different project each week, from lively still life to simple portraits, you'll develop a personal drawing style and confidence. Instructor will bring all the paper and drawing materials you'll need. Class is open to those age 14 and older.
