Friday, February 12th, 6-8:30pm
Instructor: Amy Flowers
Fee: $38
Learn to create an amazing textural ground for your collage work! Students will start with a stretched canvas, then work with matte medium, newspapers, tissue, cheesecloth and gesso to build a dimensional surface.
Explore using acrylic paint to make your surface really pop. Add collage ephemera and stamped imagery for a work that has depth and interest and looks great hanging on your studio wall. Once you learn how fun and easy it is to "build" a canvas, no surface will be safe!
Pre-registration is required. Call or stop by the store to reserve your spot! All supplies are included.

Friday, February 26th, 6-8:30pm
Instructor: Amy Flowers
Fee: $38
More fun with wild collage surface tricks! Starting with a wood board surface, students will layer handmade papers and ephemera for the base, then coat it with clear gesso. Add extra dimension with light molding paste and stencils — you'll still be able to see the original paper collage base. Create a focal point by embedding your own original photo into the gesso. Now you're ready to add paint and stamp imagery to pull the piece together!
Pre-registration is required. Call or stop by the store to reserve your spot! Please bring several of your own photos printed on photo paper (glossy or matte finish) to this class. All other supplies are included.
