Welcome to dickblick
This chunky pencil functions as a colored pencil, watercolor, and wax crayon all in one — perfect for a variety of techniques, and for those with endless imagination.
The extra-thick, 10 mm lead is as thick as eight standard colored pencils. It resists breakage and provides soft, rich strokes that exhibit high luminosity, high opacity, and high color intensity, even on dark papers.
The Woody 3 in 1's outstanding watercolor properties make it ideal to paint with, too. It also writes on smooth surfaces such as glass, metal, leather, and more.
Choose the Woody 3 in 1 for large surfaces — and for small hands!

Comments about Stabilo Woody 3 in 1 Pencils:
I love the way this writes on any surface just like the stabile pencil, but the stabile crayon has such a creamy texture to it and makes a great shadows and shading tool. Would love to get some other colors.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The perfect starter medium for little kids! #sweepstakes
from Springdale, WI
These are called 3-in-1 because they're wooden pencils with a creamy crayonlike center that makes wonderfully rich color when "painted" with water. They're a great size (short and stout) for even the littlest of artists. My kids use them on watercolor paper. Downsides are that they require a special extra-large sharpener (but it comes in the set). #sweepstakes

Beautiful lines and versatility with these pencils. Water soluble or allow to set/dry with gorgeous line and color. Great for drawing, highlighting, adding color and line interest to paintings.Love these! WOuld love to have them in every available color!
LOVE THESE SO MUCH!!!
After watching a well-loved artist use these in youtube videos I knew I HAD to try them. For two dollars and some change I simply had to try them all! And I am soooo glad that I did. These things are great! They are fast and easy to use and also great for small hands if you have children that like to create with you!
Great size for sketching

I love the large size of the pencils. They are easy to grip and help when sketching floral or any other objects. It allows my grip to flow and not break the colored pencil in half.

I previously bought the gold pencil and this time added the 6 pack. I now wish that I had sprung for the larger pack. The colors are beautifully intense. I do mixed media art and these layer on well over acrylics, even isolation layers of acrylic gel. I will definitely be adding more colors. While they are clumsier than neocolors to use, I personally prefer the way that the color goes down and dissolves, when used over acrylics. Highly recommend. One drawback is that it needs an oversized sharpener, so you probably need to buy a set in order to get one.
Great on smooth papers.
Love these, they create crisp lines on smooth paper and can be used as watercolor.

These are wonderful, I love them.

I discovered these crayons while studying abroad in Florence, Italy. My professor there introduced me to these, and I have been hooked ever since. These are very hard to find, which is unfortunate, so I have to order them here. As an artist dealing primarily with drawing and watercolor mediums, these crayons give me the versitility I need. They are great for serious large works, with their size and pigment load, but also excellent for smaller studies in sketchbooks. They are portable and last a long time. They have a lot of pigment, and are soluble in both water based and oil based mediums. They leave a lovely texture, and respond very well to mediums. I have yet to find something comparable. These also write on anything, from glass, to wood to paper. As a mixed media artist at heart, these are a valueble tool to me. If you are serious about these and like them, I would also reccomend buying the sharpener, as these are much larger than the average pencil and using a knife to sharpen them is cumbersome. If you are a working artist, and want to be able to to serious work as well as studies on the go, this is a great tool to have and largely undiscovered. These are marketed for children, but don't be fooled by these as they ARE professional quality.
