I'm using these for waterbased monotype but am unsure how long the color lasts. They do tend to bleed when the damp paper hits the plate but that can be a nice effect. Anyone know about how light fast they are?

Product was on sale, and I decided to try it. Only fine points, no thick points, so you have to "color" more. Water soluble so you can follow with water brush. Best to set up your own color scheme as what they call "ochre" is orange and what they call "pale orange" is flesh. Also a light gray one or two steps lighter would be useful (or use less of this and wash in with water). Colors very vibrant and bright. Price is fantastic. Attached picture was a 2hr practice run...

in my 28 years as a professional art school trained artist these are the handiest little dudes i know of....i've owned four sets of them over that period and they've all performed above and beyond the call of duty, they will eventually fade and mush out tips as they age ,but it will take several YEARS, and in that life span you will get great detail work, excellent color strength and alot of fun!!

Very nice I've had mine for about 3 years. They've lasted that long!!! The colour is still intact. Though going into the fourth (right now) they're running out of ink. I've had them for that long and they lasted that long. i'm gonna buy another set!

I like to work with Pentel pens with a water brush handy for blending. They have strong, fairly fine tips, and I don't have any trouble doing a reasonable amount of detail work with them. You have to pay attention to the angle of your pen to get a fine line, but I am used to this with brushes and it doesn't bother me at all in a marker. Colors blend excellently with water.
