Pentel Slicci Pens not always reliable

I use the product (pens) for work. Many of the different colors of the Slicci pen do not write even when brand new. The black color seems to be the most consistent in performance. I love the pen, but regardless of the color, the pen should actually write. Unfortunately, not all Slicci pens perform that task. VERY disappointing.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I use these for art journaling, and find they are at their best for filling in really small areas. They write well on plain paper, but aren't reliable when used over acrylic paint. They do seem to work over most other things, provided the original surface has been treated with fixative. I do love the colors in the set, they're nice individually and I find they are the perfect group of colors as I can't imagine what other color I would want in this pen. Overall, I definitely recommend them.
