Crisp and simplistic, Archival Gallery Collection frames are black, set off by a dramatic white mat. The look is clean and distinctive, perfect for both colored and black-and-white photography. Use them also for prints and other paper-based works.

Frame Depth — The depth of a frame refers to the depth of the frame's rabbet (the cut-out area behind the frame's molding that holds your artwork in place). To find a frame that will accommodate your artwork, measure the depth of the artwork, including any matting or mounting materials, and order a frame with a depth that is, at a minimum, the same as that measured depth.

Note — Frames are sized by the opening, not by the outside of the molding. To determine the size of frame to order, measure the outside of your artwork, including mat, and order that size frame. The frame will overlap your artwork ¼" all the way around, so your artwork will fit nicely behind the frame's molding.

nice design, but glass was defective

I really like the beveled design, but the glass was scratched up or perhaps the UV coating was applied poorly because in certain lights, the glass is far from crystal clear after cleaning with windex several times and even trying goo gone.

I framed various photos I've taken in these frames for display at a B&B in a gallery like setting. The frames we beautiful, high quality; already assembled. Made my job easy and made my pictures took fabulous, definitely gave the gallery vibe with the offcenter mat. Great price, fast shipping, delivered professionally packed and without damage. The whole thing is archival -- really important for watercolors -- including UV protective glass and comes in many standard sizes. The photo line is great, too, although not such artsy opening sizes. The price for it all is not much more than it would cost to get the same size mat cut.

The frames themselves are decent quality, the clips on the back are sturdy and easy to use. The gallery glass is nice. The mat is good solid quality, but the color is a bit off-white. Just FYI if you're looking for bright white. Also, make sure that you order the proper mat orientation, center, landscape or portrait. [...]
