I have used the mat cutter to frame my fibreart pictures.
It gives me the opportunity to cut passepartout frames eventhough I have rheumatism in my hands.

We purchased the mat cutter to use around the office for a bunch of new artwork we were going to display. We wanted to reduce our framing costs by being able to buy stock frames and mat the artwork ourselves. After viewing the videos I was able to cut my first mat within half an hour. This is simple to use and I have moved on to double matting and am looking forward to some other tricks.

This is my first mat cutter and it was easy to use, almost right out of the box. My box was missing the printed instructions in English (my Spanish and German are pretty rusty), but I was able to watch the DVD and get the printed ones online. My very first mat came out great. I thought an advantage of this system is that it's wide enough to handle 32" mats, but the sheet of mat board was just a little too wide. I was able to get it to work to cut it down, but if I wanted to cut a mat that size it would have been a problem.
