Moulin du Roy is a mouldmade, 100% cotton, acid-free, French watercolor paper that features enhanced surface cohesion to allow the application of several layers of paint without damaging the surface.
Special mass and surface sizing provide wet strength and allow for easy, even spreading of pigments. The paper also has very good dry and wet erasability.
Moulin du Roy Watercolor Paper is available in sheets, rolls, pads, and blocks, making it easy to customize the size of your art.
Handling Charge — When ordering sheets of paper or board larger than 18” x 24” in quantities of less than 10, a $3.00 per order handling fee applies. Paper or boards may be assorted to reach the quantity of 10.

Great "Dupe" for Arches
Comments about Moulin du Roy Watercolor Paper Sheets and Rolls:
This is my new favorite watercolor paper, I mainly use the 300lb cold press sheets and I love it. The reason for the title is mostly it's a better deal than the Arches, I personally think the quality is about the same except that this paper has a softer surface texture and is less stiff than Arches, which I personally can work with. I don't have to tape it down and I love how it holds pigments and blends. I'd definitely recommend you try it out!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Works well for colored pencils
I haven't used it for watercolor yet, but this paper is very good for colored pencils. The paper is very strong and smooth.
Love Moulin du Roy watercolor paper!

I am a watercolor painter and have mainly used Arches WC paper for many years. I ordered some Moulin du Roy 140 CP sheets to try even though I had ever heard of it before. It has a surface texture similar to Arches but it is the easiest paper to lift paint when you need to. Apparently it is sized internally and externally. I am looking forward to trying the hot press too!
fabio cembranelli's paper
from san francisco
I took a workshop from Fabio and he uses this paper. It seems a bit smoother and it is easier to do his technique on this paper than my arches, which is still greatl He puts on paint and then quickly removes some of it .
The 140# cold press is a beautiful, strong paper.

I have used blocks of not. hot and smooth. The compare favorably to Arches and Fabriano Artistico.

The 300 pound cold pressed paper has a somewhat smoother surface texture than the Arches equivalent but is otherwise similar in how it handles layers of paint. I have not tried scrubbing the surface to remove paint but expect that the surface may not be as resistant to damage as Arches paper. It is a good value and works nicely for painting things that don't require a lot of texture.
