I wearied of acrylic paints drying on my plastic palette. I tried everything. Then I bought a Masterson kit. It has changed the way I paint. No more pressure to use the color up before it dried. I can continually move from color to color and mix what I want without worrying about it drying. No need to try to remix your colors the next day...they are still there nice and moist. Keeping them in the refr is wonderful. Just follow the directions carefully and you will sing their praises too!!

I use this with my acrylic paints and it will keep them moist for weeks! Closes tight with an easy snap. Not quite as roomy as I'd like though so I bought the blue lid Palette Seal model and it's a bear to close! I'm going to give the Painter's Pal a try.

We use it to keep our colors from a painting time to another,in our club,"l'atelier du pommier" www.lepommier.org, in Saint Clair Sur Epte, France.
We cannot find them in France so I buy them on Dick-blick.
they are very nice, if the weather is warm, you better keep them in a fridge. It is our "maitre" Pierre Marcel, www.lepommier.net" who used to paint with this type of palette, coming back from Florida.MArie

I'm a novice, and after using paper plates for a few years, I decided to make a minor investment in this little gem. It lived up to all my expectations based on reviews by others. I was impressed at how well it preserved the consistency of the paint w/o molding over time. I can appreciate the benefits of the larger size, but wanted something compact for traveling. The acrylic sheets are very durable and clean up well for reuse.

Working in acrylics requires paints to stay moist. I ran out of my palette films and sponges months ago and realized the amount of paint I was wasting in hardened clumps on styrofoam plates...crazy! Glad I got my refill palette.

This smaller sized wet palette is perfect for the crowded classroom environment. It's big enough to hold a good number of paints and still have room for mixing and the like. Yet, it's small enough so as to not push everything else off the table, or have your neighbor's elbow land in it.
