The Masterson Sta-Wet Painter's Pal Palette is a patented, airtight palette designed for oil and acrylic painters. It preserves the freshness of your paints for many days, saving you from having to clean your palette after every painting session.
For acrylics, use the Painter's Pal with Sta-Wet palette paper sheets and a sponge insert (both included). Moisten the sponge and lay it inside the tray, then place the palette paper on top. When the lid is open, your acrylics will have an extended open time. When the lid is snapped shut, the Painter's Pal will maintain a moist atmosphere that preserves acrylic paint amazingly well. (For best results, use only Sta-Wet brand palette paper, which is permeable, cleanable, and reusable.)
For oils, simply remove the sponge insert. You can also substitute a conventional palette paper when using oils.
Made in the USA of tough yet lightweight plastic, the Masterson Sta-Wet Painter's Pal Palette measures 1"H × 13"W × 12½"D (2.5 cm × 33 cm × 32 cm). It comes with five Sta-Wet palette paper sheets and one sponge insert. Replacement sheets and sponge inserts are also sold separately.
These plastic containers have airtight lids, and are ideal for holding water and mediums. Twenty 0.75 oz cups per package. Cups measures 1-1/2"Dia × 1"D.
Store turpentine, mediums, and solvents in these sturdy lidded containers. Ten 0.5 oz cups per package. Cups measure 1-1/2"Dia × 3/4"D.

My first disappointment with Masterson products
By Madison 29

Comments about Masterson Painter's Pal Palette:
The palette comes with plastic cups that would be at a restaurant for carry out. The lids come completely off so you have to keep track of them. The plastic is too thin. I immediately replaced them with Masterson cups with attached lids. The hinges broke on my first plein air trip.I use the 12x18 Masterson at home and love it. I bought this one to have a smaller size for travel.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I .haven't used this palette, yet. But, just about any product I have ever received from Blick has beenjust great! I am sure this one will be great and fit my needs
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
best for class
Always recommend this for students. The size is sufficient and non of the lids have torn where the palette keeper seal is. for oil we take out the small containers and the water soak pad.
Great palette for acrylics

I have used one for several years and now my art classmates are using the palettes too.
I would buy this product again
This is the perfect size, most are too big to lug around or too small. This is perfect. The only thing is It doesn't close tight. But I knew that before I bought it
I would buy this again, but......

I paint in acrylics and this is my second sta-wet palette.the palette seals air tight and is very good at keeping paint fresh between sessions.Finding the right amount of water to leave in the sponge when sealing can be a bit tricky, too little and the paints dry out, too much and they all run together. This is my second because the lid on the first one split at the corner after about 3 years. If I get 3 years from this one also I will be content, but it would be nice it it lasts longer.
Love this palette

I was put off by the directions of soaking the paper in boiling water before use. So I don't. I fill my bathroom sink with the hottest water I can get, put in 15 sheets of paper one at a time so water is on both sides, and soak the set of 15 sheets for 10-15 min. I spray lysol below and above the sponge, put my 15 sheets of paper on top, and don't have to do anything for about a month. I cover the palette when not in use, and give it a spray of water if I forget. Toss the top paper when you need a new one.

I absolutely love this product. It saves money in terms of the acrylic paints and not having to discard what is not used.

Excellent product if you have a busy life and need the acrylics fresh. Love the ease of use. I had a smaller size in the same product, just moved to the bigger size

I looked at several palettes before deciding on this one. I use it with Blick's 9x12 inch disposable palette paper which fits perfectly. I didn't use the little cups that came with it. I use it for oil painting to help keep my oils from drying out. Did not use the sponge that came with it.
