Lascaux Fine Art Fixative is the most versatile fine art fixative you'll ever find — and the only one you'll ever need. It fixes or seals virtually everything, including pastels, pencil, charcoal, crayon, ink, gouache, or watercolor.
Lascaux Fine Art Fixative won't yellow. It resists aging, and is non-matte. Use it on photos, prints, lithographs, proofs, lettering, and gold leaf to make them scratch resistant.
It makes an excellent initial sizing on wood panels and other rigid supports. It comes in a 12 oz aerosol can, and contains no flourocarbons.
® Lascaux is a registered trademark.

I use this fixative for colored pencil works. I just feel better knowing my pieces have a bit of protection. I have NEVER noticed a color change and the finish it leaves is BEAUTIFUL! #sweepstakes

Expensive but for something that doesn't shift color, it is worth it.

Protects guache paintings without color shift
By Lorraine OB
from Portage Wisconsin
My paintings of gouache on canvas, board, and heavy paper look dull with glass over them, so I display them without glass. I was troubled at how vulnerable the water media is. I tested a few varnish type sprays and found they made the gouache become thin, showing the dark underpainting in an unpleasant way. I even tried a thin coat of acrylic medium, carefully brushed over the dry painting and found the reds and violets totally shifted in color. I was very nervous to try this product, but it works great. No color shift, no disturbance to the paint surface. It takes about 4 heavy coats to get a reasonably protective surface, but it dries fast. I spray outdoors - toxic and smelly. But once dry, no smell. Love it. A bit expensive but worth it.

I have been doing pastel portraits for 45 years and experimented with many fixatives. Lascaux fixative is my favorite because it does not darken the flesh tones.

I plan to buy this product again
I use this product to seal my watercolor paintings after they have dried. I have never experienced any running or smudging of my colors when using this product.

I use Lascaux fix to seal dry powder pigments on Ampersand pastelbord. It does not kill the colors, the only product that works, wish it was more affordable.

Love the finish this product produces on colored pencil drawings. A nice solid fixative to preserve artworks for years to come. Will purchase again
