It was a lot better getting this product online because didn't have to drive around looking from store to store town to town. withthe sdhipping cost a little bit more but was worth it not having to drive all over the place.

Even after rigorous shaking, this product tends to sputter and leave droplets on the surface. This wasn't a problem for me at first, because I varnish between layers of paint. One of my large paintings was pretty drastically blemished, however, when the sputtered droplets became foamy. Unfortunately this was on the final layer of this piece. So for small works it may hold out, but you're guaranteed some large drops on your work if it is larger. Pay the extra money and get Golden's archival varnish, which has a much better nozzle and spray stream.

Great for WC gouache

I needed a good spray for Gouache paintings and this beat them all. The matte spray looks great over the flat gouache. I will give a light spray of the Lascaux UV Protect (which is more expensive) underneath, but finish and seal it with this Krylon matte. I have used the gloss and it's good, too, but for that flat-gouache look, the matte is better. Thank you!

Krylon UV-Resistent Clear is the only UV product I've found to protect the new watercolor canvases. Use with care as I've had large drops blow onto the surface and cause circles of higher reflectivity on the surface. This is the gloss version and held well away from the flat painting surface.
