Pastel Chalk Pencils have a smooth, blendable formula for use in traditional fine arts, scrapbooks or memory books. They're perfect for lettering, outlining, stripes, borders, shading, accents, embellishments, roughing and aging effects.

Pastel Chalk Pencils can be blended easily with a finger, paper stump, kneaded eraser, or tissue. For a dramatic effect, use them on a dark colored paper with a rough surface.

Each acid-free pencil is encased in cedar wood and tipped with General's extra soft vinyl eraser. Pencils are pre-sharpened.

Sets of 8 are available in several color themes. These sets include a pencil sharpener, a sponge applicator for blending, and a project booklet.

The sets of 12 and 24 pencils come in assorted colors and include a pencil sharpener.

Classroom Pack — This economical classpack includes 12 of each of the following Pastel Chalk pencil colors: Black, Canary Yellow, Green, Indigo Blue, Light Fresh, Light Gray, Orange, Pink, Scarlet Red, Van Dyke Brown, Violet, and White. It also includes 12 Portrait Lesson booklets, 12 Pastel Chalk Pencil technique booklets, and 12 All-Art sharpeners. Colors may vary.

Cool Colors — This set of 8 includes one each of the following Pastel Chalk pencil colors: Cobalt Blue, Lavender, Light Blue, Midnight, Periwinkle, Sap Green, Sea Green, and Ultramarine. Colors may vary.

Neutral Colors — This set of 8 includes one each of the following Pastel Chalk pencil colors: Beige, Black, Burnt Sienna, Dark Gray, Light Flesh, Light Gray, Van Dyke Brown, and White. Colors may vary.

Warm Colors — This set of 8 includes one each of the following Pastel Chalk pencil colors: Autumn Gold, Burnt Carmine, Lemon Yellow, Pink, Rose Madder, Sanguine, Vermilion, and Yellow Orange. Colors may vary.

This pencils are HARD and difficult to work with as a PASTEL pencil, as a regular color pencil for elementary art could be ok not to buy if you need soft pastel pencils

I haven't been drawing for a while but I'm getting really into it now. Saw these in the store and wanted to try pastels without spending too much. After drawing my second picture, I fell in love with these pastel chalk pencils and how well they blended. The only con I can say about this product is the color restriction... MAKE MORE COLORS!!!

Really nice for details & for sketching

I use these pastel pencils for putting in details within a pastel painting and for doing sketches out in the field or when traveling. I really like the selection of colors. They are less messy than using watercolors or even water color pencils in the field -- no need to carry water -- and yet give me an idea of the true colors in the scene that I sketch. Of course, they are not a replacement for regular pastels in terms of laying down color and blending over large areas. They are a great value for the money, however, and I highly recommend them.

I really didnt like the pastels, they dont mix very well they are very hard and they dont blend well. I really was disappointed. I had to borrow my art teacher's pastels because these were pretty much garbage. Im an art student so i feel i must be critical with these because of my bad expierience.
