Excellent eraser for delicate surfaces
from Port Townsend WA
Perfect for erasing lightly drawn graphite or colored pencil, or even very light smudges of printmaking ink or watercolor on the right papers. Clean erasing! Not so much for the really tough to remove marks...

These erasers caused me more heartache than happiness. Several times I would smudge the area that I was trying to erase, even after insuring that they were clean. I had used these in the past and forgotten that they had caused this same issue before. I would not recommend them to anyone trying to do precise shading. I was often more frustrated than happy.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

No noise eraser!

I'm a school based Occupational Therapist and have one particular student who has hypersensitive hearing and the sound of pencil erasers on paper was causing such stress and meltdown behaviors - numerous other "art" erasers were trialed and this was the one that we found he could tolerate. We purchased enough for all students in his classroom and it's been a big hit as well as helping this young boy be able to be a part in the classroom on a more regular and successful basis!

Eraser works well yet is easy on paper
By Eternally Grateful

I bought this eraser to remove masking fluid from watercolor paper. It does that very well. I also find myself reaching for it when I just want to erase pencil lines from my drawing (go figure). Unlike a kneaded rubber eraser, It does leave little bits of eraser behind, which will need to be blown or brushed off of the paper, but I find it is very gentle and removes graphite without smearing, and the sharp edge allows me to make more precise erasures than a kneaded eraser.

The very best
This extra soft white plastic eraser is the absolute best for erasing pencil from paper. Unlike a kneaded eraser, it does not damage even watercolor paper if used carefully. The erasure dust comprises little rolls that are easily brushed away. I have left a sort of trail of these erasers for years, giving them to artist friends who were still using kneaded erasers or pink pearl erasers on their watercolor paper. They were all instant converts. I always have one of these with me. They work well with CarbOthello pastel pencils too - I sometimes use these instead of graphite pencils for underdrawings on watercolor paper.
