The best paper I have ever used, this is it from now on!!!!
from Orlando, FL
Comments about Fabriano Artistico Traditional White Watercolor Block:
I have used it so far with colored pencil, and with the mineral spirit blending method no other paper has been so smooth and had such a great look and ease of application to achieve it!! I have tried many other papers of less price but this paper is definitely worth the price. You get what you pay for!!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

best paper in the world
from Bellingham, WA
I recommend this hot press water colour paper over Arches because the fibers do not break when the paper is folded. I use this paper to make blank journals, a la Teesha Moore. When creased, the paper makes a clean fold that opens and closes many times without breaking down fibers or tearing.
I have used this paper with many mixed media: acrylics, ink and wash, graphite, charcoal, and Conte. It all looks good on this paper. I recommend it for anyone. I'm still learning how to properly stretch the paper so it doesn't get wrinkles. If you do get wrinkles, they mostly lay flat after the paper dries.
Love this paper

As a professional watercolorist, I love using Fabriano paper for my work. As someone who is also conscious of my materials, I am happy to have a paper that is of such great quality and that is vegetable-sized as opposed to animal-sized.

Most watercolor artists use Arches. I prefer the cottony texture of Fabriano. The results are fabulous.

I purchased this paper for a workshop. We made a single journal out of one sheet of paper. The weight and feel is really nice. I have been able to use many types of medium on this paper with great results. When I make another journal, and I will, it will definitely be on this paper.

" One of "the" finest papers you can use"

Sometimes it really pays off to try "new" things. In this case ,I tried this paper because I was fortunate enough to take a workshop with someone who is considered a "master watercolor artist".This paper was introduced during one of the demonstrations in the workshop. I was able to see how the paper behaved, as paint was being introduced to it's surface.I couldn't wait to be able to try some of this paper for myself. I was very much impressed with the way the paint responded to the surface. This paper responds well to lifting techniques, as well as dry brush. Similar to a paper I was used to, but perhaps a shade better.Confidence in your material is of utmost importance, knowing you can achieve a significant outcome weighs heavily on the end result.
Block not a block
from Port Orange, FL
This was recommended as the best paper, and the surface and texture is wonderful. But both sizes were both broken into several 'chunks'. Still usable, but several papers will be used as individual sheets, which might prove to be disappointing.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
