These brushes are made of pure, fine blue squirrel hair for maximum color capacity. The hairs of the round brush are blended with select Set of 5 — This set includes sizes 1 and 6 Natural Round, ½" Jumbo Round Wash, ¾" Oval Wash, and ¾" One-Stroke Wash. Note — Brush sizes are not standardized. The length and width of a brush of a given shape and size varies considerably by manufacturer. Merchant response: Squirrel hair has great carrying capacity for thin watercolors and inks. It is used in both lettering and washes. A very fine, thin hair, taken from squirrel tails, it points as well as Kolinsky, but has very little of a sable brushes "snap". The purpose of the brush is to use it for washes and other applications where you need a lot of color to go a long way.
