Welcome to dickblick
Blick's White Taklon delivers the texture and responsiveness of Red Sable, yet holds up to the caustic nature of solvents and acrylic paints with greater durability, making these brushes a must-have for the classroom.
The selection of shapes and sizes available means there's a Wonder White brush for every media and application. The sharp point has good spring. Long handles are finished in blue gloss with nickel-plated brass ferrules.

Comments about Blick Scholastic Wonder White Flat:
Use on models, these brushes are really over kill, but why use another type, or brand of brush for this price. Would recommend to others, and have.

Love these brushes!

I love using these brushes to paint on canvas. I can scrub the paint in as much as I want and it will not gray or change it's shape.
I love using these brushes for painting on canvas. I can scrub the paint in as much as I'd like and the brush still keeps its shape and doesn't fray.

excellent student brushes

I used these brushes to teach a paint class to 212 women. They were perfect! Quality for price was great. They cleaned up well so they can be used over and over!

Good disposable brushes

My husband buys 40-50 Wonder white brushes at a time. He paints in oil, but doesn't clean brushes very well or often. They are very inexpensive for long-handled painting brushes, so if you don't take good care of your brushes and have to replace them often, this is a good option. As a painting teacher, I've had students get these brushes. They really don't hold their shape, especially in the hands of a student, but if you're teaching something like realism and want a precise edge, they work better than long-handled bristle brushes and are very affordable. However, some of the smaller ones get blown out right away - hairs sticking out in every direction - which is frustrating for anyone, but especially brand new students who are barely able to control where they put the brush as it is.Also, because they are not natural animal hair, they can't be reshaped, but they are great if you only want to use them for a week or two and would rather replace them then cleaning them well. Robert Simmons synthetic sable brushes are quite a bit better and also cheaper than real kolinsky sable, also inexpensive for oil painting brushes, but quite a bit more expensive than these wonder whites.
