I bought these frames for a gallery show. Of the 5 small frames I received, only two were usable... and then only after multiple touch-ups with a marker.

The finish on these frames is so thin and brittle it comes off with a touch. One of the 5 frames was unusable because large areas of paint came off when I unwrapped it. The small amount of static from the plastic was enough to pull the paint right off the frame! Unacceptable!

Two more of the frames were unusable because all attempts at putting in hanging hardware split the fragile wood -- even attempting to drill pilot holes for small screws with a new, sharp drill bit split the wood!! Thin nails also split the wood. Using the attached sawtooth hanger was absolutely out of the question. Unacceptable!

I didn't even bother unwrapping the larger size frames because I don't need the hassle. Spare yourself a lot of pain and refrain from even ordering these frames!

NB: The two frames which did not split were both black. I don't know if they were made be a different company than the colored frames. All the frames had VERY fragile finishes, though. Buyer beware!

I purchased over 10 of these frames, in white, for a show I was asked to participate in. I was excited about the value of these frames, but was quickly disappointed by their quality. I found that the pressed wood scratches and bangs up very easily. Over half of the pieces, once they got to the show site, had scratched frames, even though I handled and transported them very carefully, stacked them interleaved with a soft clean material. Even worse than that, the acrylic "glass" scratches practically upon touching it, and it's the most lint-attractive material I've ever seen. I could not get a single piece of artwork in a frame without having to remove it dozens of times to remove particles that appeared to be coming from the frame itself (the pressed wood, I guess). I ended up replacing the acrylic with glass on several of them. I am very disappointed with these frames and am, frankly, embarrassed that I am selling artwork in them. I would not recommend these to anyone who cares about the artwork they are framing.

My husband sells his photos at Farmers Markets. The frame will be a nice selling point. The price of the frame will make the picture more buyer friendly in this economy. The frame is just right.

I use for Photography..the acrylic is CLEAR! and with wire and hooks used inside..they hang flush..which is GREAT looking!!

I've used these stock frames to prepare photographs for an exhibit. I had to replace the polystyrene because it scratches too easily but even with that, this was an excellent deal. These are handsome frames.
