It's the original soft printmaking material! E-Z-Cut is a block of synthetic rubber-like material that is so easy to carve that even young students can create printing blocks safely. Use our E-Z-Cut handle and Speedball linoleum cutters for pen-like control. It won't slip and slide on the table.

E-Z-Cut is 3/8" thick — thick enough that both sides can be carved if desired. Each package contains two blocks. The 4" × 6" (9 cm × 15 cm) size is perfect for greeting cards and note cards. Try cutting even smaller squares for rubber stamping! We recommend Dick Blick's water-based printing inks.

Handle printing blocks with care, because E-Z-Cut blocks can break easily if cut too deeply or if accidentally folded. Please note you must use a sharp blade at all times for best results.

Very frustrating for students to work with and I have so much of it. Worst thing is that I ordered for a school in the Caribbean, so it's not like I can just return it.

If you are thinking of purchase, please, do not put yourself through this struggle. Pay more and love the benefits of speedball. This blick product is the worst, I could get better detail with a woodblock.

The rubber is terribly crumbly and with a brand new blade still flaked and crumbled. I didn't expect top of the line, but I thought it would be better than carving into an eraser, which it was not.

It was cheap, but still over priced. Even a brush over it to try and get rid of the crumbs just made it crumb more.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I found this rubber too soft and crumbly. I would not but it again. Couldn't get the sharp edges and detail I wanted at all.

I'm a high school art teacher and bought a lot of this product for a very simple printmaking project. I'm very disappointed in it's quality. It is hard and crumbly and breaks easily. Usually Blick brand products work just as well as fancier stuff but this is a major bummer.

I ordered this product a year ago for a class I am teaching now. Had I known how poor this product is, I wouldv'e returned it but it's long past 30 days. I had a class of high school students using it and it constantly crumbled and cracked and some students had printing blocks in 3 pieces by the time they were done printing. The time they spent designing and trasnferring the image was a waste when they carved and everything fell apart. Never again will our department order this.

Crumbles rather than cuts

Even with brand new speedball cutters, the blocks crumble rather than cut. As a result, lines are not crisp and tiny flakes of the rubber material shed constantly. It's almost like the rubber is old and starting to break down.

I was expecting something comparable to the Speedball Speedy-cut blocks. This was definitely NOT it.

I purchased these to cut stamp images out of. While easy to cut, they tend to tear easily as well. A little too flimsy for me, but still a good product.
