Compressors and Accessories

Air Filters, Gauges, and Regulators

A pressure regulator and gauge combination controls air output to the airbrush. It's not absolutely necessary to use a regulator, but once you use one, you'll never want to work without it.

A regulator becomes a necessity when your technique or the viscosity of the liquid require you to control airflow more precisely. Having a compressor that gives you a wide range of pressure to regulate allows you to experiment with a broader range of paints and techniques.

A moisture trap attaches directly to your compressor, and reduces the amount of moisture in your airline. It is particularly important in warm or humid conditions.

Compressor Ad About 1913

When this advertisement appeared in our catalog, before 1920, small electric motors were still quite a new technology. Many factories were powered from a central drive shaft, driven by a steam engine or water power.

Small electric motors made the life of an airbrush artist much easier. At the time of this advertisement, many airbrush artists still had to pump up a tank of air by hand.
