Cloaked in black…and so small it's nearly invisible, this Ninja-like compressor is the perfect choice for portable air.
Compact in size, the Iwata Ninja Jet includes a built-in airbrush holder and a carrying handle that's ready to go anywhere. The low-maintenance oil-less 1/12 HP piston motor and adjustable pressure regulator deliver reliable performance, while a metal cover provides protection.
Great for hobbies, crafts, bakery applications, cosmetics, nails, and more, the Ninja Jet comes complete with an airhose. It features working pressure adjustable from 5 to 18 PSI.
Electrical Warning — All electrical products have U.S. standard plugs and voltage. Due to damage that can occur when using incompatible plugs, sockets, or converters, Blick does not ship electrical items or accessories outside of North America or to freight forwarders.

Would not start when it was brand new
Comments about Iwata Ninja Jet Studio Compressor:
I've been through the mill when it comes to compressor. First started out with Iwata years ago which lasted me 5 years and then I switched to Temptu air compressor which is horrible and gave me trouble all the time, until it finally got too hot and burnt out even though it has a 15 minute timer that shuts off when it over heats. Now i just bought the Iwata Ninja Jet air thinking I will go back to Iwata, and swear to God, I was at a wedding using it for the first time and boom, problems again. I turned the switch on and it just hummed and didn't power up for at least a minute as I was just standing there with the gun in my hand ready to spray. Quite embarrassing when your client and the bridal party is all around looking at you like you have faulty equipment. On my way to do another return on horrible compressor products.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

It is what you're paying for.

Although it's not exactly "silent" as a ninja it really isn't as noisy as a full sized compressor. Considering the fact that I live in an apartment and only use the air brush for highlights on my art work, with the price of the compressor put into the equation, it's was a descent purchase for its size and use. Although it does warn that it's not meant for prolonged use and it does seem to get warm to hot fairly quickly, I would suggest a higher tier compressor for those seeking actual long term and long hour use out of their compressors/airbrush. That and the pressure tends to drop a bit after the first initial press of the air brush, so you seem to lose a bit of consist flow, but its not game breaking. All in all though, a good buy at a good price for my uses, which is anywhere from 20mins to an hour at most.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
