Collage

Collage is a term coined by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque to describe a technique for gluing flat strips of paper and other materials to a substrate or surface. Although the technique itself had been in use for centuries, Picasso and Braque used it boldly to create new compositions with geometric and abstract forms.

Collage adhesives dry to a flexible and transparent finish. Many are well suited for heavier materials. Most acrylic mediums can also be used for collage. In general, fluid and gel mediums should only be used with thinner and more lightweight materials.
