Chalkboard Glasses

Chalkboard Glasses

Inexpensive and easy to make, chalkboard glasses are fun for everyone! Simply paint a stemmed glass with chalkboard paint, then write a message or make a colorful chalk drawing. Use them as place cards or as an alternative to wineglass charms.

    1. Choose a stemmed glass. Make sure it's clean and dry before applying the chalkboard paint.

    2. Use Scotch Painter's Tape to mask off any part of the glass you don't want to paint. Or if you want, paint the whole glass! Use a brush to apply Rainbow Blackboard Paint. Don't worry if you mess up! Just use a wet paper towel to remove the paint and start over.

    3. Remove the painter's tape before the paint dries. This lessens the chance of the paint peeling away when the tape is removed.

    4. Let dry for 24 hours. Then write, draw, or decorate with Blick Pastels or Derwent Pastel Pencils. To reuse the glass, gently wipe off the pastels with a soft, damp cloth, then add a new name or design!
