Unlike many "brush" pens, the Zig Clean Color Real Brush pen has a genuine bristle tip that lets you create marks of any width — from broad strokes to fine lines.
Filled with a waterbased dye that is odorless and xylene-free, these pens are easy to blend. Both portable and versatile, they're great for plein air work as well as manga and cartooning.

better color than copics
Comments about Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens:
copic markers tend to be too dark in some colors. I prefer a lighter blue, when the cap of the marker is light blue. this isn't always the case. however, with the lemon yellow and persian blue, and emerald green, I got a nice accurate color and not runny. i use these for coloring and doodle art. i also design mazes and labyrinths on paper. these are great for a very light and delicate thin line into a more bold line. beautiful.in terms of other brush pens, i have only used Pitt pens which are good but Zig is the best for art.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

A wonderful coloring option
from Norfolk, VA
I really enjoy using these pens. The real brush tip gives you the feel of using an actual watercolor brush. These don't work well on all papers, but on watercolor paper and Bristol smooth paper they blend beautifully with each other and with water. I got a set of 12 to try and was so impressed I'm buying individual colors from Blick to gradually build up my collection. I don't think you need the full set of 80 because they're a lot of grays and a lot of colors that are similar. I use them in my card making and in my watercolor projects.

These are the first true art markers I have ever purchased. I love them! So easy and fun to use and they do not smear. I will be buying more of these!
Very fine brush tips for detail work
from Flagler Beach, FL
I used the brush pens for some very fine detail work on a watercolor painting that I was completing. I don't know if I will use them again for this, because the color ran when I touched it after it dried when I was painting around it. I liked the pens, because I didn't have to keep loading my very fine paint brushes. I was disappointed that it ran.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
So glad I found this product at Dick Blick
My new one stop shopping for my craft items!
from Manama, Bahrain
I bought the Zig pens to supplement my set of 80. These are my favorite colors and I know I will run out of color sooner or later. Dick Blick was the only provider who had all the colors I wanted and would send them to a military address. Thanks!

Great color and precision

These colors are clean and sharp to use. A little goes a long way. I also appreciate how detailed you can be with the fine points on the nibs. I believe these will hold up well and not fray or squish into a larger line as time passes. I am pleased with the blending abilities also they feel nice in your hand.

Favorite Markers EVER! Real multi-fibre Brush
from Vancouver, BC
I tried 4 different brands and these are the only ones with an actual BRUSH as the tip. Thus, you can make the thinnest, wispiest line - to a solid, thick line. As they are actual watercolor paint/inks you can also get the color gradients and saturation as you wish. But, you can also use them just fine on sketch pads, you don't need watercolor paper. I started with a 4-pack and liked them so much I came back and bought 25 more. Just fabulous
