The interlocked synthetic filaments of Winsor & Newton’s Artists’ Acrylic brushes provide superb durability combined with excellent shape retention. Stiff enough for thick color, yet soft enough for glazing, these brushes offer versatility with the feel of natural hair. Their spring and responsiveness is the perfect complement to the buttery consistency of Winsor & Newton’s Artists' Acrylics professional paints.
Their seamless painted brass ferrules are double-crimped, securing the filament and assuring stability for years of use.
Brush sizes — The length and width of a brush of a given shape and size may vary by manufacturer as brush sizes are not standardized. Since fine art brushes are handmade, expect some variation even among brushes from within a single brush line.

Comments about Winsor & Newton Artists’ Acrylic Filbert:
I have been looking for a good Filbert and this is it! It holds a lot of paint and has a great snap to it. I'm still looking for an extra firm 1" Filbert.
lovely to handle in your hand

Comments about Winsor & Newton Artists’ Acrylic Flat:
I use these brushes for hard-edge graphics and illustrations. Thequality is beyong reproach...ferrules are tight, bristles are well proportioned and have just the right amount of spring the I require for my work. I'm not totally comfortable with the double bubble handle shape, but this is a small point of contention.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these brushes to any artist of any skill level, and will keep adding to my inventory as they wear.

Great brush. Holds a lot of paint and is very durable.

I'm new to painting, so can't compare to many other brushes, but I bought a number 12 to complete a set I need for a painting class. This one is definitely superior to a cheaper set I bought. I'll probably be replacing those cheaper brushes as they wear with this type

ROUNDS AREN'T AS DURABLE
By Acrylic lover
from North Bend, OR
I do a lot of acrylics and needed a fine round so I bought a #1 W&N Artist Acrylic. While their larger sizes seem to be holding up ok the small one has a lot of hairs that won't go back into shape and with fine detail one or two errant hairs can create havoc. I have to trim them off with fine scissors and it's smaller (which is nice) but I don't see it having much of a future.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

An O.K. Brush
By Agateman Jeff
from Richmond, TX
I bought this brush to help me with my detail work. It's an ok brush. It doesn't hold as sharp an edge as other brushes I have and I probably won't be ordering this type of brush again, but I still like other styles from Windsor/Newton like the eclipse and monarch brands which are very fine to paint with.
