A New World Has Opened for Me
Comments about Utrecht Art Utrecht Dry Pigments:
I ordered Utrecht Pure Artists Pigment Color--Burnt Umber out of curiosity. I have never used this sort of product before but I have many acrylic mediums and I thought it would be interesting to use raw pigment with the mediums. I love the versatility of the pigment in various mediums. I am still exploring how to use it but I will definitely expand my palette of raw pigments in the future.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I purchased the ultramarine blue dry pigment to explore the use of color closer to its roots, materialistically. So far I have mixed it with water, varnish, modeling paste, and acrylic paint, to achieve different mediums with which to paint. A great thing about this dry pigment is how rich it is and how you can use it to mix a more vibrant paint, and when mixed with acrylic paint it takes away that plastic look, which I really appreciate. The only not so great thing about it is that it isn't pure lapis lazuli, which of course it is the expensive stone found in nature.

I purchased two Ulrecht pigments for making handmade oil paint and egg tempera. They mixed up well and the colors were fantastic. I would purchase these again without question.
