They are expertly formulated, milled, and tested in the USA.

__Utrecht Artists’ Acrylic Gloss Medium__ increases the shine, clarity, and transparency of acrylic colors. Ideal for use as an adhesive and transfer medium, it dries to a smooth, high-gloss finish. To reduce or increase gloss finish, blend with Utrecht Matte and Gloss Mediums. 

__Utrecht Artists’ Acrylic Matte Medium__ is a medium-bodied acrylic emulsion used to reduce the surface sheen of acrylic paints. Mixing liberal amounts with your colors will also have the effect of decreasing their transparency. Beyond painting, this medium makes an excellent collage adhesive and transfer medium.

Gel can be used as a topcoat to increase gloss and depth but is not considered an ideal varnish coat. Imparting a glossy, glass-like finish, gloss gel is ideal for use as a transfer medium, collage adhesive, and is perfect for glazing.

__Utrecht Artists’ Acrylic Gel Matte Medium__ is a heavy-bodied emulsion that adds body and texture to acrylic colors for a flat finish. Gel dries to a low sheen and can be used to increase paint volume for broad coverage. Mixing liberal amounts with colors will also give the effect of reduced transparency. Beyond painting, gel matte medium makes an excellent transfer medium and collage adhesive.

Generally, refractive magnification can be increased by up to 40% (in most cases, depending on pigment type or mixture) without compromising color saturation.
