Create a reusable chalkboard writing surface on furniture, walls, and more with Tommy Art Chalkboard Paint. The varnish can be applied to paper, cardboard, wood, and plaster.    Chalkboard Paint is part of the Tommy Art DIY Paint System&nbsp;&mdash;&nbsp;a line of paints, mediums, varnishes, and more that have a waterbased mineral base&nbsp;&mdash;&nbsp;and can be mixed with other Tommy Art DIY Paint System products to achieve unique effects   Chalkboard paints create a smooth, satin glaze and won't yellow over time. Always shake or stir paints before use.


**Black Chalkboard Paint, 140 ml**  - This varnish works best on porous surfaces. On non-porous surfaces, paint a layer of Acrylic Primer before adding chalkboard paint. Apply two coats 12 hours apart with a paint roller or brush. Let dry 72 hours before writing on the surface with chalk.


**Clear Chalkboard Paint, 140 ml**  - Apply two coats 24 hours apart with a paint roller. Let dry for 24 hours before writing on the surface with chalk.

Apply White and Neutral Gesso in thick layers to prevent crushing or cracking.   Each Tommy Art Coating can be combined with all the colors of the Tommy Art DIY System to create semi-transparent coats and enhance texture. The recommended coating to color ratio is 5:1 for pale colors and 10:1 for dark colors. For best results on wood, use a brush and apply the coatings in the direction of the grain.   Coatings and Primer should be shaken or stirred before use.
