The same fluid, water-reactive formula crafters have come to love in Tim Holtz Distress Stains is now available in a spray format.
Ideal for quick and easy ink coverage on paper and other porous surfaces, Tim Holtz Distress Spray Stains come in a plastic bottle with a high-quality mist sprayer. They're great for spraying through stencils, layering with other colors, and spritzing with water to create mottled effects and blend colors.
Each bottle holds 1.9 fl oz (57 ml) of acid-free spray dye.

A Joy to Work With!
from Lititz, PA
So easy to use. Sprayer doesn't jam up like some sprays, and the mists are evenly distributed. The colors are even and consistent, and blend perfectly with other products in his line. You can use a paint brush or spatter brush for even more choices of delivery and design!

Holtz Express Spray paint

I have not yet tried it but soon I will be, I really don't know what to expect, I have heard that these are good paints from U-Tube and just wanted to try them out. I stick my neck out quit a bit over new things, that's how I learn.

Distress products are good
from Santa Rosa, CA
The whole craft market has one huge problem that people are starting to figure out. Light fugitive pigments. These guys fade. How fast depends on how you store them. On the other hand the crafting world is not held to the same traditional color standards and having brighter, fun, and even trendy colors is the result. I prefer the Distress line because I can't mix colors for the life of me. Thirty years of failure. If it comes out of a tube, bottle, pan, etc. it is going to be just that color. So when I want grungy colors without mud the Distress line gives me that. Spray inks for all their light issues allow me to do certain color mixing techniques that prevent me from over-working or having much control, and that's a good thing. I am a fan of Tim Holtz because I feel that he is producing great product within an affordable price point. But when someone asks me, I tell them to make the hard decisions about longevity. You can get spray ink effects using quality airbrush paints and acrylic inks, but it won't come in Peacock Feathers or Picked Raspberry.
