Strathmore 400 is one of the most versatile sheets Strathmore offers. This off-white drawing paper, with a uniform surface, is ideal for sketching and most finished work. It readily accepts pen and ink, pencil, crayon, charcoal, light washes, and markers. Acid-free.
Pads contain 24 sheets of 80 lb (130 gsm) paper, wire bound on the short side. Wire bound pads are micro-perforated and are actual size when removed at the micro-perforation. 4" × 6" and 6" × 8" pads are not micro-perforated.
Drawing Paper, 24-Sheet Pad, 18" × 24", 125th Anniversary Edition
For a limited time, this pad of 80 lb 400 Series drawing paper will feature artwork honoring the founder of Strathmore Paper Company, Horace Moses. Mr. Moses opened the Mittineague paper mill on St. Patrick's Day in 1892 in West Springfield, Massachusetts. Soon after, he visited the Valley of Strathmore in Scotland. The thistle was in full bloom and the beauty of the area impressed him so much that he started using the name and the thistle as a symbol of high-quality art and printing papers. Today, 125 years later, Strathmore continues to provide artists the ideal surface for producing lasting works of art.

from Joliet, IL

I have used these for years.
Nice drawing paper
from Irvine, ca.
Drawing on this paper felt smoother and clearer than other bands in the same price range. Colored pencil portraits turned out pretty nice on it, but their colored pencil paper worked the best on colored pencils. Both are my favorite so far, and Bristol smooth.

Great quality and versatility
from Brooklyn, NY
The 18 x 24" worked well for holding a one-time life drawing class, as we wouldn't need more than its 24 sheets. The backing isn't super rigid but is just strong enough to prop up without an easel; when held as a landscape, the pages didn't slip and didn't need binder clips. Good quality paper for a variety of media at a great price.
from Elgin, SC
