excellent for inspiring kids
i use this for an afterschool enrichment program for 7-12yr and this paper is a joy to paint with. it takes the colors and keeps its brilliance, rewards their brushwork, and the stiffness is great for projects such as cards, fans, ornaments, etc.
I will continue to use this paper for all of mt watercolors

Excellent student grade paper
By Dot The Artist
from San Francisco, CA
This paper is a good starter paper for anybody interested in watercolor. It's more student grade than professional quality, which is why it's less expensive. This is good for beginners or people wishing to practice techniques on less expensive paper before doing a final piece on expensive paper. The size of the paper is nice as well, you can cut it down to smaller pieces and make much more use out of it.Strathmore also claims to have a strong environmental stance which I can get behind. All in all, this is an inexpensive watercolor paper that performs very well. I've bought this product many times and I will continue to in the future!

Strong, Durable, Luscious Watercolor Paper
By Kindergarten Teacher
from Arcata, Ca
This paper works exceptionally well with children. It is very thick and absorbent If the artist is using pencil, it holds up to gentle erasing. Due to its heavy weight, it does not tear easily with small hands for collage work.
