Be kind to your fine art brushes!
Stroking a brush across the smooth surface of the aluminum coil opens and separates the hairs for proper cleaning without damaging the fragile flags (the delicate split ends of brush hairs).
This heavy glass tank with a screw-on lid holds up to 12 oz (355 ml) of water, solvent or Silicoil Brush Cleaning Fluid.

common sense brush cleaner

Commonsense type container w coil, bounce your brush on the coil, coil keeps brush from going into the colored goo at the bottom of the container.
Basically Good; One Flaw

You can't beat the price. Also, I like the fact that the solvent the artist uses is contained in glass. In addition, the screw top seems secure, and the coil system does seem to be helpful in promoting brush life. However, I was a little disappointed that the coil within the glass container does not come out. This makes it difficult to clean the container well when it is time for a solvent change.

The Best !
from Plymouth, MA
This product is the best idea yet for solving the brush cleaning problem without all the fuss, expense and mess. I bought two because I use only linseed oil to clean brushes for painting. I do not use any solvents. The first jar is used to get most of the pigment out of the wiped brush and the second ensures a completely clean brush. After painting I use a good brush soap and reshape my brushes. The jars are very easy to clean when it's time for an oil change. I can't say enough about how great and economical these Silicoil Brush Cleaning Tanks really are.
