Hot Press is the smoothest and is great for high detail paintings. Cold Press is an intermediate surface and is great for most types of paintings. Rough is exactly what its name suggests, a fantastic surface for landscapes and seascapes where the surface can really work with the painting. Each of the three surfaces is resilient to buckling and offers exceptional color stability.
