Used at home with clay - great to use, nice weight and wonderful that it has a non-stick type of a surface.
Never Going Back to Wooden Rolling Pins
By Frances Potter
from Danville, VA
In addition to being non stick, which is a plus, these are the prefect weight and they are constructed well so even after years of use, the handles have not fallen apart or broken. This is a must have in a Ceramics classroom. I bet it works well in a kitchen also!

They Are Useless
By Ms. Artrageous
from Chicago, IL
Can't use them with clay. They stick to the clay and I can't use them with my classroom. So upset I bought 12 of them. What a waste.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Rolling Pins for Ceramic Slab Projects

The rolling pins I purchased from Blick are exceptional. My high school students use them almost every day to roll clay slabs for hand-building projects. For the price and quality, they can not be beat. They are sturdy and light.

Very disappointing for use with clay!!
from Guntersville, al
I teach art classes and have been looking for an easier way to make clay slabs. I've tried wooden rolling pins and plastic pipes, which are okay, but usually end up rolling the clay around the roller at some point. So I was excited to find this non stick rolling pin. However, it does not work! The clay immediately wrapped around the rolling pin when I was trying to roll out a slab. I read the box it came in to make sure I didn't need to prep the roller in some way, but their was nothing I needed to do. I tried making the clay a little wetter & a little drier, but it did not improve. My class just ended up using the rolling tools I already had! Very disappointing!

Rolling Pins for Arts and Crafts

Our camps make recycled paper and needed rolling pins suitable for the task. The girls hands are smaller and this made their use and storage requirements perfect. A solid choice for smaller hands.
6" rolling pin
The perfect size for young children. Had a party for 6 preschool children to roll cookie dough and they worked great.
Great size for my 3 year old. She loves it
