Just what I needed for classroom projects
from Truckee, CA
I love prismacolor pencils. These are the student grade and can be bought individually, which is just what I needed. My elementary school students were doing self portraits and I needed flesh tones. I was able to order the exact number of colored pencils I needed, and I had them delivered on an expedited basis.
Pencils with Pizazz!
from Washington State
I've been using regular color pencils in my art for the last 16 years. Because of the oils in "regular" color pencils making corrections can be a frustrating experience. With "Col-Erase" erasable colored pencils that problem is solved. These pencils do not contain oils therefore erasing is a breeze. I purchased a pack of 24 pencils just to give them a try. I was pleasantly surprise by the quality and the colors presented in this set. The colors are rich and VERY easy to erase. "Col-Erase" is an excellent product for glazing or just to add a little pizazz to your work!
These pencils are perfect of coloring in, as well as shading and outlining. I prefer these to the original Prisma color pencils, mostly because of the eraser and the color deposits softer on my paper. #sweepstakes
Best pencil for preliminary sketches!
from Fremont, CA
Since receiving my Blick order last week, I've completely switched over from graphite to my Col-Erase pencils for sketches. The Col-Erase pencils erase with much less pressure and don't smear like my normal pencils. I especially like using the white pencil while working on black or dark gray paper. My only regret is that I didn't purchase these pencils months ago!

Essential for Planning Your Piece
By Elle the Illustrator
from Tampa, FL
I bought the Lavender Col-Erase to do the initial under-sketching's of my illustrations. They're perfect for planning the lines of a piece before you put them into ink, as you can erase and work out the details of how you want the piece to go. I chose lavender because, with a lighter color, it's easier to erase completely with little residue, yet still dark enough to show up on the page clearly as you ink over top of it. Next time I buy though, I'll be buying in bulk, and also purchasing an extra eraser, as I tend to go through the one on the pencil rather quickly. All-in-all though, it's a fantastic pencil and something I will purchase again and again.

Does not fully erase.
Erasable colored pencils; too good to be true. Nice pencils but they do not do what I bought them for - erase. I tried several types of erasers and papers. There is always noticeable color left behind. They are nice and a good value, if you don't need to erase. I would recommend them for coloring. I agree with the other reviews that they are not as good as the soft core. The colors do not match the soft core pencils.
Great for laying down sketches
from Oakland, CA
I use Col-Erase pencils in Indigo Blue and Scarlet Red for watercolor sketching, and the lead is a good consistency for erasing (if necessary) without smudging, PLUS you can get a very faint line to a very dark line with great control and little pressure. The only other color I've tried and do not recommend is the Non-Photo Blue. For some reason the core is extremely hard; I know the color is very pale, but I shouldn't have to leave heavy grooves in paper just to see it at all.
