The Prismacolor Colorless Blender uses a special formula to soften hard edges, and to lighten or blend colored pencils. Use it for a smooth, blended look. With the Colorless Blender, colors can be layered on top of each other without cloudy build up.
This pencil is sold unsharpened.
Note — Manual sharpening is recommended for this pencil. Clogging can be prevented in electric sharpeners by periodically sharpening a graphite pencil to keep the blades clean.

Comments about Prismacolor Blender:
Hard to find these, if at all, in the local stores... I find that I tend to use less of the color stick when using these which is wonderful.

Perfect Prismacolors extender

Note how specific it is. The Prismacolor Colorless Blender has the texture of Prismacolor Premier, which is unique and versatile. It's going to extend the life of your most-used colors, allow more layering and tinting, allows dark hues to be lightened by transparency rather than needing to have lighter versions and allows transparent layering. That said, Prismacolor Premier is a very soft pencil and any work of size will eat them like Pringles. Colorless Blender saves my light colors a lot. Before this I used to have to use White to blend and then restate color over the white to get back to the desired hue. White got chewed up that fast too and colors wore down faster due to the restating. Prismacolor Premier is made for layering. Colorless Blender allows more of it and is tremendously useful. Other brands of colorless blender can work but may change the texture or if not as soft, push color around in ways you don't want. Works well with more hard colored pencils, can be used to soften the resulting layers and blend them out. Can be used to extend hard colored pencils and smooth them out. Works fine with other soft brands like Derwent Coloursoft.
Didn't know what I was getting but I love it.

I wasn't sure what it did until I got it. I love it.
As with the Prismacolor pencils, the blenders are a quality product and my go-to brand.

Always beautiful results!

These make my sketches pop and give the final finished look. Don't know why I took so long to try these. I used to burnish with a lighter colored pencil instead buy it often made the sketch "cloudy". These don't do that. Perfect!

This product works well to blend your pencils however, just like other colorless blenders, will make your paper a bit shiny.
