Princeton has done it again, offering its softest and thirstiest synthetic ever!
Almost 20 years ago, Princeton gave artists a synthetic version of Sable that was almost the equal of fine Kolinsky. Today, it's still the standard for performance among its rivals. When Princeton set out to create a synthetic version of Squirrel, the company developed a brush that may actually outperform the natural version.
Neptune is Princeton's thirstiest brush ever, delivering oceans of color to the sheet. Featuring the latest synthetic fiber technology, the Neptune's multiple-diameter filaments are configured to replicate the smooth feel of natural Squirrel, with enhanced snap and resilient strength. Experts in natural hair have been incredulous that the Neptune brush hair is actually synthetic.
Princeton is proud to offer Neptune in a beautiful range of shapes that includes hand-tied Mottlers and Quills. The beautiful sea glass handles of the Aquarelle brushes are the signature of the line.

I paint in acrylic and watercolor and needed new daggers. I find these to be great brushes and work well for me with my painting.

Wow -- stiff, with hairs sticking out
from NE Georgia
Returning this one -- totally unacceptable. It's stiff, and came packaged carefully, new -- but with hairs flying out in all directions.
More than satisfied.
from Park River, ND
I find these Princeton Neptune brushes to be better than I ever thought. The write ups describing the quality and performance are all true in my humble estimation. They hold an amazing amount of pigment and gives me great control in delivering the right amount no matter how fast or slow my strokes are. The 1/2 inch dagger, the 1/2 inch aquarelle, the rounds and a #6 script totally fill my needs. I'm ordering a rigger now.

I was not pleased with them
from Southern Indiana
I was not pleased with them they seem flimsy & do not hold shape. Maybe I was expecting something that they were not meant to be.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
