Plike paper is my first choice for silverpoint drawing.
from Joliet, IL.
Comments about Plike Paper:
I like the way it is easy to draw with silver on plike paper. My silver drawings tarnish nicely (a desired effect) and the paper requires no surface preparation; unlike masonite and watercolor paper, which need 8 to 10 coats with sanding in-between to be suitable to draw on.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Wonderful for class silverpoint drawings
By J loves art
Recommended by the teacher in my drawing class for silverpoint. This paper can be used right out of the box for silverpoint--no preparation required. Drawing with silverpoint on other surfaces requires preparation with materials that can be toxic. This paper takes any metal-point and is easy to use. Some lovely portrait drawings have occurred in class using this paper.

Paper is limited for dry pastel use
from Millbrae, CA
Bought this to try for dry pastel and silverpoint drawing. Tested the white paper with silverpoint and it seemed to work well but this was a small sample test.As for pastel, it has limited capacity for usage and can only take one layer. Tried pastel pencils, hard/soft/extra soft pastels. Some Nupastels worked but others didn't. Did not accept very soft pastel. Cannot blend pastel. Wiped off one layer of pastel but surface wouldn't accept anymore. Do NOT suggest using this for pastel. Now I have 2 dark sheets that I can't use with silverpoint or pastel!!1
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
