Paverpol is the leading textile hardener and fiber sculpting medium in the world, and the only one awarded the AP non-toxic seal by the Arts and Creative Materials Institute (ACMI). It was created by a group of Dutch artists in the early 1990s as a user-friendly, environmentally friendly alternative to resin and is now used by artists and crafters in more than 20 countries around the world.
This one-step waterbased crème gives sculptors, doll-makers, mixed media artists, painters, interior and exterior designers, theatre set crews, and fabric artists a serious new medium to expand their scope of work, either indoors or outside.
Paverpol can be used with fabric, paper, papier mâché, silk, metal, air-dry clay, chamois leather, baked polymer clay, plaster, concrete, pottery, stone, and more. And unlike most other hardeners, Paverpol will not deteriorate polystyrene foam.
To use, dip natural materials, such as textiles, in Paverpol. Drape or wrap the material around a wire figure or other armature and allow it to dry. Paverpol dries quickly, but slowly enough to allow plenty of working time.
