Comments about Ook Framer's Pro Wire:
Fantastic product for heavy paintings. It is easy to use and does not damage the wall when it is on the back of a painting.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

My latest canvas is ten feet long and I'm frustrated that I cant get it in one piece. It really is the best and I'm sure they produce by the mile so it's sad 9' is the longest length. Bummer.
Easy to work with wire
This is so much nicer than what I was using. It doesn't cut your hands and looks very professional. Will definitely buy a larger quantity for the future.#sweepstakes

The Only Wire to Use

OOK Framers Pro Wire helps your finished piece look professional with wiring done in a professional manner. No more stray wires sticking out and poking or cutting. These are encased in plastic and make the job of wiring easier and cleaner. The recipient of your art piece will thank you, too because of the neat, wiring job this product provides. You can't go wrong with this fine wire. I only use this brand, and Blick has the best price!
Best framing wire I've ever used, work great with and doesn't fray.
No more wire cuts on your pitties!
For years I used hanging wire for my prints and photographs that wasn't coated. I can't count the times I would get those pesky "wire cuts" that really hurt! OOK Framer's Pro Wire is a total revelation! It's so easy to twist and manipulate by hand in those tight places and above all no more Boo-Boo's ! As far as negatives.... Time will tell, but for right now it has a THUMBS-UP by this rookie framer!!!
The best hanging wire
I paint large format canvasses and don't want a failure. I did hang a really heavy mirror (40+ lbs) and then pulled down and it untied. My solution was to use a framers knot where after you twist it, you slide the end back through the first loop. No slip there at probably 70 lb.My biggest complaint is that I could use a much longer roll. I'm always dealing with leftovers and if a canvas is fourteen feet long, then what?
Its good, but unwinds easier than non-coated
from California, USA
I had been searching for the best framing wire to wire up canvas paintings recently. After looking around for a bit, and using this once, I purchased quite a bit of the 30-lb wire, assuming it was at the top of its class. This coated wire is nice, definitely, in that the coating makes it easy to work with (won't cut your hands, feels smooth, etc)...but, it does indeed unwind easier than un-coated wire, as you might suspect. Is it truly a fairy tale wish to have a smooth coated wire that ties and stays wound just as an un-coated wire? Maybe. I suppose you cannot have the best of both worlds, simultaneously. HOWEVER, I will certainly note that during my search, I have come across a different competitor's coated hanging wire which is much, much better in this department. So unfortunately, "OOK Framer's Pro Wire" has lost the battle, as it unwinds easier. I had about 5 rolls of this stuff, which I threw away. I can't name the competitor, per these review guidelines....so good luck on your search!

Plastic coating is a winner

Wish I would have known how many feet was in a roll however.
