Welcome to dickblick
This is a professional line of oil paint formulated to the highest standards. These oils feature high pigment load and excellent mixing power. Color intensities replicate those of handcrafted, limited edition oils produced prior to the invention of the collapsible tube in the 1840s. The consistency is silky, not oily. This enables the artist to paint the thinnest layers or thick impasto brushstrokes with ease.
Using techniques dating back to the days of the Old Masters, Michael Harding creates powerful, intense colors of paint that are both beautiful and durable. No fillers or extenders are used, and no driers are added. This prevents brittleness, cracking, and wrinkling. Because there are no driers, these oils may take longer to cure, particularly in thick applications. To optimize curing time, set your painting in a warm room with good sunlight.
All colors but one in the line are ground in a grade of refined cold pressed linseed oil that is chosen for its neutral acidity to ensure permanence. Titanium White No. 1 is ground in safflower oil.

Great sky blue color

Comments about Michael Harding Artists Oil Colors:
I bought this color at the recommendation of my art class teacher. It truly is the perfect sky color. So, there is no need of mixing one. :) Anyway, good color and good product.

Michael Harding oil paints are one of the best products one can purchase on the market today for their artistic endeavors in oil painting. They are top quality and absolutely outstanding.
Truly Amazing Paint!
from Boston, Massachusetts
I have painted exclusively with Williamsburg Handmade Oil Paints for years; recently I decided I wanted to try out PR 106 Genuine Vermillion and this brand was one of the few in which that color is availabe. I was so impressed with the quality and pigment level of this color I ordered a few more colors. I am very impressed and will be switching to this brand as I use up the rest of my Williamsburg.
Thicker than other brands
By portrait painter
I ordered the lead white and there has been some minor separation of pigment to oil but other than that a very good paint. Good covering quality. #sweepstakes
Heartbreakingly Wonderful Paint
from Horse Country
Expensive but still a good value because they are dense with pigment. A lovely paint.
This is a wonderful oil paint to work with
from Keizer Oregon
They are very creamy without using a lot of medium
from NH, USA
I have been using Michael Harding paints for a few years now and just love them. The paints are buttery without being overly juicy, they carry a rich pigment load, and although they're a little more expensive than some others they are not priced out of reach. The only negative - which it's really not - is that they take a bit longer than other brands to dry on the canvas...but that allows more open working time!
beautiful vibrant oil colors
These are fantastic oil paints
Great paint brand discovery!
from Miami, Florida
I am pleased with Michael Harding's Artists Oil Colours, and have decided to replace my current favorite brand with Michael Harding. My introduction into this brand was Cremnitz White in Linseed Oil which, is great.
