Perfect Paper for Printmaking
from Gardena, CA
I used this paper for etchings from Copper plates, a older Gentleman who is a fantastic Draughtsman had found me and I guided him to turn his Drawings into etchings. He had a fantastic time and the fine Line he produces printed beautifully on the Pescia, albeit was tricky to wipe. The excellent Price I got from DB allowed me to give him a Product at an affordable Price.

Unfortunate bad batch
By Playful Printer
from Brevard, NC
I use this product for making reduction prints. The large sheets that I ordered varied in thickness from one side to the other from a little more than an eighth of an inch. Making deep cuts and consistent pressure when using a press difficult. I had to cut it down to smaller sizes in order to salvage and wanted a larger piece to work with. Normally this product is great. I have not ordered it in a while and was dissapointed with quality control.
Merchant response: We apologize for the problems you encountered in this paper. We agree that 1/8" is an enormous variance in thickness, and although we're not quite sure how that could have happened, we'll absolutely take care of it for you. Magnani Pescia paper is excellent for printing from solarplates - it takes the ink well, and shows every detail. Fine quality paper, packaged extremely well by Dick Blick.
Italian paper is top notch
from Kalamazoo Michigan
Magnani Pescia print making paper is also an outstanding drawing paper. This paper works well with both charcoal pastel and conte crayon. When using this paper for drawing it will not take much of a beating. Vigorous drawing techniques should be applied with care.
My Favorite Paper

I use this paper for various book arts and printing projects, specifically letterpress printing. The paper takes the ink and impression nicely-excellent quality for letterpress printing. I've purchased the blue and gray. The paper does crack slightly with it is folded, but is still great for book arts.

Not just for printmaking
from Boston, MA
This is one of my favorite papers to bind into sketchbooks. The paper surface is smooth and accepts graphite, colored pencil, pen, ink, watercolor washes, and crayon beautifully. No buckling even after being wet. I also use it for Bargue exercises in graphite and carbon pencils. It erases beautifully, with no disruption or shredding of the surface fibers. All in all, one of the best papers I've had the pleasure of using.
excellent paper for gravures
from Tucson AZ
Used for photo gravures, prints well with light spraying first. Cream is warm and has a very, very slight reddish/pink caste nice for skin tones.
