Just getting started
from Portland, OR
Right now I'm just gathering materials for a class and haven't used these brushes yet (that's the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5), but from past experience I'd say these are great brushes and a tremendous value. It's been a long time since I've actively painted, so terminology may have changed, but I was under the impression, from the description, that these would be short handled brushes which would have been ideal for the field work this class is preparing me for, but no, they are very long handled; that is my only disappointment. I may call the company, because it definitely says "short handle"(?)
Merchant response: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on these brushes. They actually do have short handles, which is to say that the handles are of the length standard for watercolors and decorative work, as opposed to the long handles which are standard for easel work. Please know that if you feel they don't meet your needs, we're happy to assist you with a return or exchange. Just call 1-800-723-2787 to speak to a Customer Care Agent.

I use this product (round size 2) for painting miniatures and scale model armor. Does a great job. Holds a nice point as is very durable.
I paint watercolor portraits in a very painterly style. These brushes are fabulous and never let me down.
