Beautiful flat matte color
Comments about Liquitex Basics Matt Acrylics:
If you want pure, clear color, the Liquitex Basics Matte Acrylics are hard to beat. Washes have a velvety look, and if working on dark background, the colors are especially beautiful. The pigments are straight forward, a great deal for the price. The texture of the paint is perfect if you like to work with one-stroke brush strokes. The paint will go where you want to go in solid strokes. Real nice.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Liquitex Matt Acrylics have low covering power.
By Acrylic User
from Westchester, New York
These are quite watery and more fluid than liquitex fluid acrylics and they have poor covering power. Under paint shows so much that you will need to paint two or more times to cover over. They do have a matt finish. The best use now for me is to use them in place of gesso as an undercoat to get some use out of them and as a way to get rid of them. Also the colors are garish and strident compared to many other acrylics I have used including Liquitex artist grade.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I love liquitex basic acrylics they are my all time favorite paints, they are smooth and glide on my canvas, they are affordable and rich in color, I love the matt colors, because I can use my prima color pencils over them to shade my faces. I love ordering from blick they have some of the best prices when it come to lIQUITEX, and most of the art supplies I use on a daily bases. with the prices as they are I am able to buy more.

I love printing on my gelli plate, yet all of my paints are transparent. Sometimes you just want a solid color that will cover everything below it. If you are expecting the same consistency as the Liquitex Basic colors you will be disappointing. These paints are more fluid. However, that does not mean they are any less awesome!
I would buy this product again and again

Absolutely love Liquitex matt acrylics. It provides even and matte surface for my line-works.

I'm a portrait painter and have been painting with acrylics. When under painting I use bright colors to give my painting "life". I really enjoy using this line of Liquitex since it's cheap, has a wide range of colors, and I can get it in a larger quantity. Usually you won't see these colors though since I have my final layers of my main color (with my more expensive/nicer arcylic on top). These get the job done.

I really enjoy Liquitex Basic Matt Color
from Smalltown USA, NE
I enjoy the fact that it can be mixed with acrylic mediums or with out & still be a consistant hue. Very nice.

Liquitex Basics Matt Colors
Dead flat, liquid, opaque, paint. Fast drying, like really fast. This paint is the opposite of oil. Don't try to blend to achieve a subtle gradations in color . You can paint right over what you have just painted no waiting.Clean, hard edge, liquid color. No atmosphere, No surface gloss at all.I know of only one manufacture who makes a similar paint with better color energy , but that paint in not opaque.
